West Coast Vibe Volume One: Thomas Michael
Thomas Michael has always been known for his incredible mixing talents, selecting only the most legendary music and blending it together flawlessly. The only proof you need is this CD with some of the best progressive trance you can find, and will definitely make a fan out of anyone who listens to it. The new tracks by LSG and Seafield, among others, really stand out!
West Coast Vibe Volume Two: Grant Plant
Grant Plant’s funky house and breaks with tracks from Fat Boy Slim, Grant Plant, Tim Love Lee and Greece 2000.
West Coast Vibe Volume Three: David Alvarado
A mix of soul-flavored tech-house. David Alvarado’s tunes infuse house rhythms with latin, euro and afro textures with a moody smile. Spine tingling deep house to smooth away all your problems, the mix is very sensitive and so subtle. An emotive mix perfect for the pre-club blast or late night rendezvous. Not commercial, like you find on a lot of other “hype” mix cds.
West Coast Vibe Volume Four: Mark Lewis
Mark Lewis’ progressive house contribution keeps the energy he is know for from beginning to end he “celebrates life through dance!”
Skylab 2000 in one word is amazing. They really know how to tear down the house. This 5 track cd is an example of what Skylab can do. If you like Crystal Method or Chemical Brothers, you will love Skylab 2000. Also, Skylab is a great DJ to see at a rave. I saw him last night and he was simply incredible.
Enter the Now: SciFi Witch Doctor
This album is incredible! It truly has a feel all of its own and it is a very good one at that. Very tribal, trancey, breaky, dubby and trippy all in one. You will not be disappointed if you appreciate any of those styles. I wish the witch doctor had made more mix albums. This is classic!!
Each time I hear this CD, I feel like I should be chilling on the beach with one of those drink with an umbrella in it. Long drawn out strings and deep bass notes will mellow yiy out but the jungle rhythms will keep you awake. Not filled with a bunch of jazzy filler, just loads of very lush tones. Worth checking if you’re into ambient/intelligent jungle/drum & bass.
LATE: Los Angeles Trance Excursions, Moontribe
Classic trance mix of original tunes from Enspiral, Lotus Sutra, 61 Cannibinoids and Pure Nova. Mixed by famed DJs Brian and Treavor of Moontribe. The tracks are all very groovy with raw acid lines, psychedelic loops and funky beats. Uplifting trance for all music lovers.
Soundscapes Live from Melbourne: Thomas Michael
This mix is amazing. While it contains many anthems that any trance fan likely has a few times over (Universal Nation, 9pm (Darey Mix), Gouryella, Carte Blanche), it is mixed extremely well. The lead track, “Baby She’s a lot Like Me” is simply beautiful and worth the price alone. He also lays down a gospel preacher over the buildup of Universal Nation which is amazing. This is a worthwhile purchase for anyone who likes trance and is looking for something different other than the latest big UK DJ trance. I highly recommend this CD as well as seeing Thomas Michael if he is ever around your area.
Soundscapes: Live from London: David Alvarado
A fantastic blend of house and Latin style music. As with most David Alvarado cd’s, this one starts off mellow. When you get to track number four, “You Are Love” by Lovetronic, get ready for the perfect musical adventure. This song mixes in house and Latin house to bring a unique sound that inspires you to dance. Track Number nine “Muneca” by Midnight Creepers is another example of a unique sound that just makes your feet move. I can’t say enough good things about this album. The whole cd is brilliant.
