As a music publisher, Diane provides all genres of music for film, tv and commercials to ICM Synch and other high profile clients.
Under Whatever Entertainment, her first producing endeavor was the feature Permanent Vacation adapted from The UK Novel “What We Did On Our Holidays” written by prolific British author Geoff Nicholson. The dark comedy starred Frank Harper (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), Gina Bellman (“Coupling:The Series”), David Carradine (Kill Bill I & II), Charles Shaughnessy (The Nanny) and Michael Bowen (Kill Bill). Finding the right sales agent, Diane ensured the sale of worldwide rights to Vanguard Cinema International. Diane worked on the production team of the thriller “Closure” for the 30 day feature film challenge. A feature shot in 6 days and from script to post finished in just 30 days.
Earlier in her career, Diane produced music events under Philosophers of Funk Productions. These events showcased the top DJ’s in the world, Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold and Frankie Knuckles to name a few. As producer and operations manager, Diane was responsible for the management and financial business components of the music event productions for up to 10, 000 music lovers and traveled worldwide to secure DJs and research event productions.
Transitioning from events to record producer was a natural move and Diane set up Phatt Phunk Records in Los Angeles. Producing 15 compilation CD’s and 32 vinyl records in just 2 years, Phatt Phunk was one of the most prolific electronic music labels of its time. Diane’s responsibilities included label and artist image and concepts, design concepts of all marketing, advertising & promotions, CD & 12″ vinyl design and concepts, licensing of all CD compilations, executive producer, contracts, royalties, sales, PR, A&R, a/r & a/p, publishing, and studio production. After securing lucrative distribution deals with Tower Records, Virgin Megastores, Amazon, as well as regional distributors, Diane finalized a deal with K-Tel for all distribution.
